If you’re driven by strategic planning, sustainability, compliance, and creating spaces that enable teams to thrive, this is a brilliant opportunity to lead change in a growing and forward‑thinking organisation.

About the Role

As our Property and Infrastructure Lead, you’ll oversee the strategic and operational management of our entire property portfolio – over one million square feet across the UK. You will define the long‑term property strategy, ensure compliance across the estate, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.

This is a senior role working closely with Commercial, Infrastructure, Finance, Operations, Aviva Group Property, and local authorities to ensure our sites remain safe, compliant, future‑focused, and aligned with our sustainability ambitions.

Responsibilities:
  • Creating and delivering the long‑term property strategy for Solus
  • Managing a portfolio of 50+ properties, mainly industrial sites
  • Overseeing asset management, leasing, business rates, utilities, and property legal matters
  • Ensuring full statutory and regulatory compliance across the estate
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords, councils, suppliers, and Aviva Group functions
  • Influencing investment decisions and shaping the future infrastructure of the business
  • Leading and developing team members, while supporting capability growth across the wider department
  • Mitigating financial, legal, and operational risks through strong governance and planning
Qualifications:
  • Professional expertise in asset management and capital programmes
  • Strong knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements, including energy efficiency standards
  • Experience leading change and guiding teams through transformation
  • Understanding of sustainability, lifecycle planning, and long‑term portfolio management
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to plan 1–10 years ahead
  • Degree‑level education (or equivalent)
  • MRICS qualification with post‑qualification experience
  • A management qualification (or evidence of significant leadership development)
  • Property legal knowledge is desirable but not essential
