Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for all Ohio County Public Schools employees ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to verify employee information such as new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
  • Process payroll deductions, garnishments, benefits, tax deductions, and other adjustments accurately.
  • Prepare and submit required payroll reports and tax filings in a timely manner.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies or employee inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to payroll and employee compensation.
  • Continuously evaluate payroll processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
