The vStroke position works with a multidisciplinary team to support evidence-based practice with the use of established stroke protocols via the telemedicine platform. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent our Mission, Values and Mercy Service Standards. Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program. Associate\'s Degree in Nursing. Experience: 2 years recent experience in Direct patient care experience of Neurology patients in an acute care setting, Adult Med/Surg, or Emergency Department experience required. State Licensure in the state of practice, current RN Temporary Permit/RN. Certifications: BLS, NIHSS certification upon one month of hire, and Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) within 3 years of hire required. Must demonstrate understanding of pathophysiology and rationale of special therapies of the stroke patient.
