PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of Internal Sales Manager in either Belgium or the Netherlands (remote) on a permanent basis reporting to the Sales Director. With 1400 styles across more than 20 ranges, we design, manufacture and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities.

We’re on a mission to become the world’s most requested PPE and Safety Wear Brand. JOB SUMMARY:

As the Internal Sales Manager for Portwest, you will bring your commercial experience to sell Portwest products to distributors across BeNeLux. You will develop existing distribution channels in this fast-paced internal sales position. You should be able to work independently but also collaborate with the sales team to continue to build upon the company’s success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, distributors, and resellers.
  • Conduct sales meetings (phone, email, video) and ensure effective follow-ups to close deals.
  • Use consultative selling to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Prepare accurate pricing, quotations, and professional proposals.
  • Promote new products and distributor campaigns to drive sales growth.
  • Carry out competitor research and gather market intelligence from events and industry activity.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support customers and maintain long-term loyalty.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a sales role.
  • Fluent in Dutch and French, both written and spoken.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Proficient in PC use, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Customer-focused with good decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organised, able to multitask, and work effectively to deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
