Description of Work The primary purpose of these four (4) time-limited positions is to support day-to-day operational management for DCDEE’s administration of federally-awarded disaster relief supplemental funds intended to support licensed child care facilities with disaster recovery in areas affected by Tropical Storms Helene and Debby. This position must have working knowledge of the early childhood education system in NC that includes the Division and numerous stakeholders who deliver services to children and families. The position will interact and collaborate with the Division, internal staff, external stakeholders, community partners and child care operators in the implementation of the federally allowable activities of the supplemental disaster funding award and will require travel. Allowable activities include several categories: construction, major renovation, or alterations; materials, supplies, furnishings, vehicles, and equipment; mental health consultation or services, quality improvement activities; and other activities that build child care supply in impacted areas. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $52,592 - $92,036 Recruitment Range: $52,592 - $72,314 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.
