Job Description

Summary

Job Description

Location: Remote (U.S.) Protect What Matters Most—Through Smarter Buildings In healthcare, buildings do more than provide space—they protect patients, safeguard pharmaceuticals, and support mission critical operations. As a Connected Buildings Technical Lead, you’ll play a central role in protecting that mission by owning the systems, workflows, and technical decisions that keep our Connected Buildings platform stable, secure, and effective. You will help ensure that Niagara BMS and Skyspark Analytics environments remain reliable, that system changes support evolving operational needs, and that the team has the tools and automation needed to respond faster and work smarter. This role is ideal for a technically strong operator who enjoys owning live building systems, building practical automation, collaborating across teams, and translating complex technical work into measurable operational impact for a critical healthcare client. Your Impact In this role, your work supports:

  • System reliability and secure access, by maintaining stable, well-managed Niagara BMS and Skyspark environments that support uninterrupted operations.
  • Mission-critical building performance, by adapting systems, alarms, graphics, and analytics configurations to meet changing business and operational needs.
  • Operational insight and smarter workflows, by building automation and quantitative tools that help the team measure impact, reduce manual effort, and improve decision-making.
  • Cross-functional alignment, by serving as a trusted liaison with the client’s technology department and helping ensure that technical priorities, dependencies, and risks are handled early.

What You’ll Do Own Core Connected Buildings Platforms

  • Independently manage the day-to-day health, stability, and administration of Niagara BMS and Skyspark environments.
  • Maintain system uptime, secure access, and overall platform reliability in live production settings.

Adapt Systems to Evolving Business Needs

  • Modify BMS stations, graphics, alarms, and Skyspark configurations to support changing operational requirements.
  • Make thoughtful technical changes that improve performance while preserving system stability and supportability.

Build Automation That Improves Team Throughput

  • Build, use, and improve Copilot agents and related workflows to automate the exporting, organizing, and digesting of BMS and analytics data.
  • Reduce manual effort and improve the team’s ability to act quickly on technical and operational information.

Measure and Demonstrate Impact

  • Build quantitative tools and reporting approaches that measure the impact of building performance improvements implemented by the team.
  • Translate system changes, analytics findings, and technical interventions into clear operational or business value.

Serve as a Technical Bridge With the Client

  • Act as the team liaison with the client’s technology department, coordinating requirements, dependencies, access needs, and technical priorities.
  • Help ensure that system changes and platform decisions are aligned across internal teams and client stakeholders.

Troubleshoot and Strengthen Operations

  • Troubleshoot issues across building systems and analytics workflows with a focus on restoring service quickly and preventing recurrence.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and changes so the environment remains secure, supportable, and resilient over time.

Lead Continuous Improvement

  • Support continuous improvement of Connected Buildings workflows, automation, analytics practices, and platform governance.
  • Help move the program toward more scalable, proactive, and insight-driven operations.

What Makes This Role Unique

  • You are not just maintaining systems—you are protecting mission-critical healthcare operations.
  • Your work helps ensure that building systems, analytics, and automation support safe, reliable, and secure environments.
  • You bridge the gap between hands-on technical ownership, measurable operational impact, and client-facing coordination.

What You Bring

  • Hands-on experience with Niagara BMS, Skyspark Analytics, and live production building systems
  • Ability to maintain uptime, secure access, and operational reliability across critical technical environments
  • Experience modifying BMS stations, graphics, alarms, and analytics configurations to support changing business needs
  • Experience building automation workflows and using AI tools, including Copilot agents, to improve efficiency
  • Ability to build quantitative tools, reporting, and analytical methods that measure operational or building performance improvements including around energy savings
  • Experience working directly with client or enterprise technology stakeholders to coordinate requirements, dependencies, or access
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across building systems and analytics platforms
  • Highly self-directed ownership and comfort working in a mostly remote environment without continuous supervision - occasional travel may be required
  • Strong prioritization, judgment, and communication skills in settings with competing technical and operational demands
  • A mindset oriented toward reliability, accountability, continuous improvement, and mission impact
  • Experience with energy calculations strongly preferred
