- Deliver engaging online lessons in biology, chemistry, physics, and related sciences using interactive digital platforms
- Develop comprehensive curricula aligned with educational standards, incorporating lesson planning and instructional design best practices
- Facilitate understanding of complex concepts such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, and differential equations through clear explanations and visual aids
- Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, standardized testing preparation, and ongoing feedback
- Mentor students individually or in groups to enhance their scientific research skills and laboratory techniques such as dissection and microbiology experiments
- Manage virtual classrooms effectively by implementing behavior management strategies and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with educational administrators to refine instructional methods and contribute to curriculum development initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related field; advanced degrees preferred
- Proven experience teaching science subjects at the high school or higher education level in an online or classroom setting
- Strong knowledge of scientific research methods, laboratory procedures, and laboratory safety protocols
- Familiarity with learning technology tools such as virtual labs, digital assessment platforms, and instructional design software
- Expertise in teaching advanced topics including trigonometry, calculus, algebra, discrete math, molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, genetics, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and differential equations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly and engagingly
- Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with experience in curriculum development and lesson planning
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and adapt teaching strategies for special education needs if applicable
- Prior experience with standardized testing preparation and tutoring is highly desirable
