The Employment Development Department (EDD) is one of the largest State departments in California, aiming to connect job seekers and employers. They are seeking an Analyst I to coordinate the Department's Records Management Program, ensuring compliance with records management requirements and providing consultation to internal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the Department's Records Management Program
  • Providing consultation and analytical services to internal customers regarding records management of both electronic and paper records
  • Ensuring that the Department is in compliance with records management requirements as defined in the State Administrative Manual and the EDD Administrative Manual
  • Serving as the single point of contact between EDD and the State Records Center and the Department of General Services, Office of Records Management in all issues related to records management
  • Providing updates to management
  • Discussing and negotiating with Department staff, control agency, and vendor representatives on a variety of routine records management issues, including statewide onsite confidential destruction and records storage
  • Completing process improvement studies and cost benefit analysis to ensure Department records management practices are completed in the most efficient manner possible

Skills

  • Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov. All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included to demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position
