Broad Statement of Responsibilities The Telehealth Therapist at All Points North is responsible for delivering evidence-based addiction and mental health treatment in accordance with clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards. Services are provided via telehealth and include individual and group therapy, psychosocial assessments, and treatment planning. The therapist functions as part of an interdisciplinary team, contributing to the development, implementation, and review of individualized treatment plans consistent with patient needs, program requirements, and best practice guidelines. The role requires accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CARF, HIPAA). Key responsibilities include establishing therapeutic rapport, assessing and treating substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders, addressing family systems issues, supporting development of life skills, and monitoring patient progress.

Education This position requires Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited college or university. Relevant work experience and education may also be taken into consideration. Experience Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing treatment for individuals with addiction and/or mental health disorders in a clinical setting (RTC, PHP, or IOP). Experience in trauma therapy preferred but not required. Active, unrestricted clinical license in good standing (e.g., Psychologist) in a Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) eligible state required. PSYPACT Passport preferred will be required to obtain upon hire. The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) is an interstate compact designed to facilitate the practice of telepsychology and the temporary in-person, face-to-face practice of psychology across state boundaries. Special Skills & Knowledge Candidates should have the following skills and attributes must be able to work and communicate well with people; be adaptable and accept changes quickly and easily; be willing to address conflict appropriately. Basic computer skills are required with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based products knowledge a bonus.   • Ability to adapt effectively to new situations and environments. Position Duties and Responsibilities – Responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling in a telehealth Intensive Outpatient setting.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational, experiential, and process groups.
  • Conduct psychosocial evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, complete ongoing reviews, and prepare discharge summaries.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to the patient’s stage of dependence, change, and recovery.
  • Evaluate individual and family systems, assessing functioning within daily life, relationships, and routines to identify areas for growth and treatment needs.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team, case management, families, and referents to support ongoing care, aftercare planning, and recovery integration.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR, including progress notes, incident reports, and clinical updates.
  • Participate in case staffing, interdisciplinary team meetings, supervision, and required trainings.
  • Provide clinical assessments, case management, consultation, referral, and education consistent with the All Points North treatment model.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of addiction, trauma, and mental health theories, including
  • Principles of addiction and recovery.
  • Role of developmental trauma in dysfunctional behaviors.
  • Psychological, behavioral, physical, and social effects of psychoactive substances.
  • Evidence-based models and treatment modalities for trauma, addiction, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Recognize the importance of family, social networks, and community systems in the recovery process.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community providers to support continuity of care.
