Why This Role Matters

As a Customer Engineer on the arenaflex Cloud team, you will be the technical bridge between our sales organization and the customers who trust arenaflex to modernize their operations. You will help prospective and existing clients understand the power of arenaflex Cloud, design innovative solutions, and resolve technical challenges that arise during the sales cycle. This role is pivotal in turning opportunities into long‑term partnerships and ensuring that arenaflex remains the preferred cloud provider across Florida and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Enablement for Sales Teams: Partner with regional sales representatives to identify and qualify high‑value enterprise opportunities, providing deep technical insight that drives deal momentum.
  • Solution Architecture & Design: Conduct comprehensive technical discovery sessions, translate business requirements into robust arenaflex Cloud architectures, and develop proof‑of‑concept (PoC) prototypes that showcase solution viability.
  • Project Leadership: Lead cross‑functional technical projects, including technology advocacy, bid response preparation, solution briefings, and coordination of engineering resources to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Product Demonstrations & Messaging: Craft and deliver compelling product presentations, white‑board sessions, slide decks, and live demos that articulate the arenaflex Cloud value proposition and differentiate our offerings.
  • Collaboration with Product & Engineering: Maintain a feedback loop with product management and engineering teams to surface customer pain points, influence roadmap priorities, and drive continuous improvement of arenaflex Cloud services.
  • Technical Documentation: Produce high‑quality technical content such as white papers, solution briefs, and responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) that support sales pursuits.
  • Customer Advocacy: Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them navigate data lifecycle challenges, optimize performance, and adopt emerging technologies such as AI/ML and real‑time analytics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, OR equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a technical role such as Technical Representative, Pre‑Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or a customer‑facing engineering position.
  • Hands‑on experience with data‑warehouse solutions, big data technologies, real‑time streaming, performance tuning, or scalability optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record designing and implementing data‑warehousing, data‑lake, batch, or real‑time event‑processing pipelines, including ETL workflows.
  • Experience with data governance, data security, and compliance frameworks relevant to large‑scale analytics environments.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML and MLOps challenges within the context of a data analytics platform.
  • Rapid learning aptitude for emerging cloud technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of delivering persuasive presentations and crafting clear technical documentation.
  • Collaboration: Strong teamwork orientation, comfortable working with sales, product, engineering, and customer stakeholders across multiple time zones.
  • Problem‑Solving: Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
