Position Overview – Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern

We are seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented individual to join arenaflex as a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern. This 12‑week, full‑time internship (May 21 – August 9, 2024) offers a blend of remote work and on‑site engagement, providing a real‑world laboratory for applying analytical skills to improve operational efficiency, safety, and cost‑effectiveness across arenaflex’s extensive network.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of the Quality Control Standards team, you will be entrusted with a variety of analytical and collaborative tasks that directly influence arenaflex’s operational excellence:

  • Data Collection & Validation: Gather, cleanse, and validate large data sets from multiple internal systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Root‑Cause Analysis: Conduct exploratory analyses to identify patterns, anomalies, and underlying drivers of quality issues.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights using visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Alteryx.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Prepare concise presentations and written reports for both technical and non‑technical audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Process Auditing: Participate in audits of existing workflows, flagging inefficiencies and recommending data‑backed improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams—including Operations, Safety, and IT—to align data‑driven recommendations with business objectives.

  • Confidential Data Management: Handle sensitive information with the highest level of integrity and compliance with arenaflex’s data‑security policies.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or in‑progress) in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas).
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, organize, and analyze large data sets with meticulous attention to detail.
