Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Data Management: Utilize arenaflex’s proprietary pharmacy information system to accurately enter, update, and verify patient medication records, prescription details, and enrollment information.
  • High‑Volume Call Handling: Respond to a large volume of inbound calls, emails, and chat messages from patients, prescribers, and healthcare providers, providing clear, courteous, and compliant assistance.
  • Order Processing & Verification: Enter refill and new prescription orders, verify dosage instructions (SIG codes), and ensure all entries comply with HIPAA and state pharmacy regulations.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate missing or incomplete data, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with senior staff to address complex cases or escalations.
  • Outbound Communication: Initiate calls to prescribers, insurance providers, and patients to obtain necessary authorizations, clarify prescription details, or confirm order status.
  • Collaboration with Pharmacy Teams: Provide timely support to on‑site and remote pharmacy technicians, escalating critical issues to supervisors as needed.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all interactions, adhere to standard operating procedures, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
  • Professional Development: Achieve a dynamic specialist certification within the first 90 days and maintain an active professional license or certification thereafter.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Basic computer proficiency: ability to start/shut down a PC, navigate using a mouse, open/close applications, save and print documents, and browse the internet.
  • Fundamental web navigation skills, including entering URLs, using search engines, bookmarking pages, and navigating with back/forward controls.
  • Minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute with a focus on accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • At least one year of experience in a pharmacy or retail call‑center environment.
  • One to one‑and‑a‑half years of pharmacy experience with a state‑issued license or certification recognized by the State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, meeting quality standards, and fostering customer loyalty.
  • Advanced typing proficiency (minimum 35 WPM) and the ability to type accurately from memory.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, enabling you to serve a diverse patient population.
