Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional phone support with video‑chat capability, guiding customers through the arenaflex tax‑software interface.
  • Deliver prompt and accurate assistance via live chat, answering questions about filing status, prior returns, amendments, and software navigation.
  • Locate and retrieve customers’ previous tax returns and amendments, ensuring data privacy and compliance with all security protocols.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior support specialists while maintaining clear documentation of each interaction.
  • Maintain a friendly, professional tone that reflects arenaflex’s brand values of empathy, clarity, and reliability.
  • Continuously update knowledge bases and internal resources to reflect the latest software features and tax regulations.

Compensation & Incentives

Earn up to $19 per hour base pay, with additional performance incentives during peak tax‑season days. Bonus structures include:

  • April 8‑11: +$3/hour for >12 productive hours, +$4/hour for >16 productive hours, +$5/hour for >20 productive hours.
  • April 12‑14: +$5/hour for >20 productive hours.
  • April 15 (Tax Day): +$10/hour for >5 productive hours.
  • Average earnings for high‑performing contractors range from $16‑$19/hour during peak periods and $15.60‑$17.50/hour during non‑peak periods.
  • Guaranteed minimum of 45 minutes of paid time for each hour worked, provided you are available for the full 60 minutes.

Schedule & Flexibility

  • Seasonal contract runs from January through April 15, 2024.
  • Choose your own shifts between 7 AM – 11 PM CST, Monday through Sunday.
  • Both weekday and weekend options are available, allowing you to design a work‑life balance that fits your personal commitments.

Technology & Workspace Requirements

To ensure a seamless support experience, you must meet the following technical specifications:

  • Dedicated personal computer (desktop or laptop) – tablets are not permitted.
  • Broadband internet with a minimum speed of 10 Mbps, wired connection (no Wi‑Fi or mobile data).
  • Operating system: Windows 10 or Windows 11. Mac users may participate only if their machine runs Windows 11 via Boot Camp on an Intel‑based Mac.
  • Up‑to‑date antivirus software installed and actively running.
  • USB headset with a clear microphone; a webcam will be loaned for the duration of the contract.
  • Quiet, uninterrupted workspace with an organized desk area to maintain professionalism during video interactions.
