Ciklum is looking for a Cloud Database Operations Engineer to join our team full-time in Poland. About the role: As a Cloud Database Operations Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Responsibilities: Monitor database health and promptly identify and resolve issues Proficient in using Terraform or Ansible for database provisioning and infrastructure management Familiarity with services such as Redshift, RDS, Python, Databricks, Apache Airflow Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including:Standard operating procedures for database maintenance, backups, and incident response Detailed documentation for cost tracking, usage analysis, and budget forecasting Runbooks and automation playbooks for common operational tasks Query optimization techniques, performance tuning logs, and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) reports Requirements: Strong expertise in cloud database services (Redshift, AWS Aurora, RDS/PG) Experience in building and maintaining scalable real-time database systems managing performance and user-experience Strong expertise in analyzing complex SQL queries, optimization and database monitoring/alerting automation Experience utilizing various design and coding techniques to improve queryperformance Experience in owning the cost management for the cloud database services such as Redshift, RDS, etc Provide valuable insights and contribute to the design, development, and architecture of data solutions Working knowledge of relational database internals (locking, consistency, serialization, recovery paths) Awareness of customer workloads and use cases, including performance, availability, and scalability What`s in it for you?
