Position Details

Position Type: Part-Time, Hourly (On-Call)

Average Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week

Maximum Hours: Up to 39 hours per week based on operational need

Pay Range: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour (commensurate with education and experience)

Work Location: arenaflex - In-Person Reporting Required

Shift Availability: Varying shifts between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM, including weekends and holidays

Benefits: This position is eligible to enroll in arenaflex's 457b retirement plan. Additional benefits may be limited for part-time roles.

What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As an Aviation Customer Service Agent I on our Concierge Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the first and last impressions of travelers passing through arenaflex. Your responsibilities extend far beyond traditional customer service—you will be a Brand Ambassador, representing the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism. Here's what you can expect:

  • Federal Inspection Services (FIS) Support: Assist customers navigating the international customs clearance process by managing queue lines efficiently and verifying that travelers possess the necessary documentation required for entry into the country. You will serve as a calming, knowledgeable guide during what can often be a stressful process for international visitors.
  • Premium Meet & Assist Services: Deliver elevated, concierge-style assistance to VIP guests, large groups, and travelers requiring special attention. This includes escorting passengers, assisting with luggage, and ensuring seamless transitions through the airport facility.
  • Information and Wayfinding Assistance: Staff airport Information Booths and strategic locations throughout the terminal to assist customers with directions, general information requests, and navigation support. You will be a walking encyclopedia of arenaflex services, amenities, and local resources.
  • Brand Ambassador Excellence: Serve as the face of arenaflex by anticipating customer needs and consistently exceeding expectations. Demonstrate professionalism, approachability, flexibility, and reliability in every interaction. Be visible, accessible, and proactive in identifying opportunities to assist travelers.
  • Operational Support: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders including governmental agencies, airline partners, and other airport departments to coordinate logistics for special events, VIP arrivals, and large group movements. Participate in daily operational meetings with key partners.
  • Safety and Security Monitoring: Monitor terminal and concourse areas for conditions that may compromise safety, security, or operational efficiency. Report any concerns to appropriate authorities immediately and take proactive measures to ensure traveler wellbeing.
  • Emergency Response: Provide assistance during emergency situations including severe weather events, security breaches, transportation failures, and security level changes. All arenaflex employees may be required to work extended hours during emergencies or crisis situations.
  • Technology Utilization: Master a variety of technology devices and systems to assist customers with information requests, maintain detailed records, and coordinate with team members. Stay current on arenaflex operations by attending training sessions, briefings, and meetings.
  • Continuous Learning: Maintain thorough knowledge of airport services, resources, and operational procedures. Participate in ongoing training to enhance your skills and stay informed about updates to policies, processes, and technologies.
  • Team Contribution: Actively contribute to team success by supporting special projects, initiatives, and daily operations. Be flexible and willing to assist in areas beyond your primary assignments as operational needs require.

Required Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Experience: Minimum three (3) years of customer service experience in one or more of the following industries:

  • Airline operations
  • Airport services
  • Hospitality and hotel operations
  • Customer service call centers
  • Ground transportation services
  • Related service industries

Language Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills in English are required. Bilingual proficiency in German, Spanish, French, or Japanese is a significant plus and may be considered for priority placement.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word. Comfortable learning and adapting to new technology systems and devices.

Licensure: Valid driver's license required

Background Check: Successful completion of FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at arenaflex. Employees must disclose any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain clearance eligibility.

Physical Requirements: This role involves prolonged standing, walking, and physical mobility throughout the airport terminal. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, including lifting light to moderate loads and navigating stairs and escalators.

Availability Requirements

This position requires significant scheduling flexibility:

  • Ability to work varying shifts between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • Part-time availability: 20-39 hours per week based on business need
  • Must be available when international flights are delayed or changed
  • Must be available for meet-and-assist and concierge services as required
  • Ability to extend and change shifts with short notice
  • May be required to work extended hours during weather events, emergencies, or crisis situations

Position participates in seniority-based shift bidding, and availability may influence shift assignment priority.
