Position Overview

As a Remote APAC Payroll & Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will be the guardian of payroll accuracy for multiple APAC countries. You will own the end‑to‑end payroll processing cycle, from new‑hire onboarding to final payouts, while also maintaining the integrity of critical data across our finance systems. Your work will directly support the finance and payroll teams, ensuring that employees receive their compensation on time, that statutory obligations are met, and that data quality remains impeccable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing & Administration – Execute payroll runs for assigned APAC countries using a third‑party payroll provider, ensuring compliance with local regulations and arenaflex’s internal policies.
  • Data Entry & Validation – Accurately enter, verify, and update employee data, payroll changes, and expense records in arenaflex’s HR and finance platforms.
  • New‑Hire & Leaver Management – Prepare, post, and reconcile all new‑hire, termination, and transfer data in a timely manner, guaranteeing that required documentation is complete and uploaded to the payroll provider.
  • Expense Processing – Review and process weekly expense reports through arenaflex’s host‑to‑host integration, ensuring proper coding and adherence to policy.
  • Compliance & Reporting – Generate monthly, quarterly, and year‑end payroll reports, supporting tax filings and statutory submissions for each jurisdiction.
  • Employee Support – Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll‑related inquiries via arenaflex’s ticketing system, delivering prompt, courteous, and accurate assistance.
  • Collaboration & Alignment – Work closely with finance colleagues in the Philippines, Singapore, and other APAC locations to align processes, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
  • System Maintenance – Record and monitor payroll cost centers, purchase orders, and settlement dates, ensuring that all financial data is current and audit‑ready.
  • Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline payroll workflows, reduce manual effort, and enhance data integrity across arenaflex’s global finance ecosystem.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on payroll and accounting experience within a BPO or shared‑services environment.
  • Demonstrated experience processing APAC payroll for at least three countries (e.g., Korea, Australia, India).
  • Strong knowledge of APAC statutory payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Advanced proficiency with arenaflex’s core productivity suite – arenaflex Sheets, arenaflex Gmail, arenaflex Excel, and arenaflex Word – as well as experience using arenaflex’s HR platform (formerly known as Workday).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional APAC language proficiency is a plus.
  • High degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently while maintaining strong collaboration with remote teammates.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Professional certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent.
  • Experience with payroll integration tools and third‑party payroll service providers.
  • Familiarity with arenaflex’s ticketing system (formerly known as Zendesk) for handling employee inquiries.
  • Exposure to global finance processes, including intercompany transactions and multi‑currency reporting.
  • Ability to analyze payroll data trends and present insights to senior finance leadership.
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and correcting data discrepancies.
