Remote Customer Service Member Services Representative – Financial Operations & Digital Banking Support at arenaflex

About arenaflex and This Opportunity

Welcome to a workplace where ambition meets opportunity, where your career growth is fueled by innovation, and where the boundaries of what's possible are continually expanded. At arenaflex, we believe that great careers are built through meaningful work, supportive leadership, and a commitment to personal and professional development. Joining arenaflex means becoming part of a forward-thinking organization that values its team members, celebrates diversity, and empowers every individual to bring their authentic self to work each day.

This particular position sits within the Payments and Digital Strategy team of the arenaflex Credit Union, a division that operates at the intersection of customer service excellence, financial technology, and regulatory precision. The Credit Union serves a vibrant community of members who rely on us not only for their day-to-day banking needs but also for the peace of mind that comes from knowing their financial transactions are handled with accuracy, security, and care. As a Member Services Representative working remotely from Texas, you will play a central role in delivering that peace of mind every single day.

The remote nature of this role provides the flexibility to design a work environment that supports both your productivity and your well-being. You will have the tools, training, and technology to perform at your best from your home office, while still remaining connected to a collaborative team that spans across the organization. This is more than a job; it is a journey toward becoming a subject matter expert in financial operations, digital banking products, and member service best practices.

Why You Will Love This Job

This is not your average customer service position. As a Member Services Representative, you will be the trusted point of contact for our Credit Union members, helping them navigate a wide range of financial processes with confidence and clarity. Whether you are processing a wire transfer, reconciling a complex account transaction, or assisting a member with a fraud concern, your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on the financial well-being of the people we serve.

If you are someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment, who takes pride in precision, and who finds satisfaction in solving problems for others, this role will resonate deeply with you. The position offers exposure to multiple operational areas within the Credit Union, opening doors for cross-training, skill diversification, and long-term career advancement. It is the kind of role that rewards curiosity, initiative, and a genuine desire to help others.

Key Responsibilities

As a Member Services Representative at arenaflex, you will take ownership of a diverse set of responsibilities that touch nearly every aspect of the Credit Union's payment operations. Your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Data Entry and Balancing: Accurately complete data entry tasks and perform balancing functions to ensure the integrity of all financial records and member accounts.
  • Return Item Coordination: Coordinate the processing of returned items with members, door vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other financial institutions, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
  • Cross-Departmental Support: Collaborate with other departments to assist with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated accounting and general ledger balancing activities.
  • Case Management: Work assigned member cases and service requests, documenting each interaction and following through to resolution with professionalism and care.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Follow and maintain established guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations, federal banking laws, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Payment Processing: Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and a variety of other checks, including those related to IRAs, bankruptcies, and loan payoffs.
  • Remote and Mobile Product Review: Review, analyze, and approve transactions associated with Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other image-enabled products, ensuring accuracy and legitimacy.
  • General Ledger Adjustments: Log, research, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns as part of ongoing reconciliation and accuracy efforts.
  • Stop Pays and Check Batching: Process Stop Pay requests and manage check batching procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Daily Balancing and Closing: Complete end-of-day balancing procedures and ensure proper department closing activities are performed.
  • Wire Transfer Coordination: Obtain necessary data from members for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic wire transfer requests, while researching and verifying incoming and outgoing wire transfer details.
  • Vendor Communication: Communicate effectively with vendors to process wire transfers, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understand and remain familiar with the rules and regulations governing outgoing and incoming wire transfers, both domestic and international.
  • Check Returns and Draft Management: Handle deposit check returns, research member returned checks on draft changes, process member checks, verify members for outgoing wire transfers, and coordinate with the Federal Reserve on verifying and releasing wire transfers.
  • Special Processing: Complete daily processing of workflows related to late returns, receipt of funds, foreign collections, and legal fees.
  • Confidentiality and Security: Maintain the security and confidentiality of all accounts and associated data, ensuring that all work complies with relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.
