Our mission is to deliver friction‑less experiences for millions of customers while maintaining the highest standards of security, reliability, and performance. As part of our rapid growth journey, we are building a culture rooted in psychological safety, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence. If you thrive in a fast‑moving environment where your ideas shape the future of insurance, arenaflex is the place to make a lasting impact.

Why This Role Matters

Our customers expect seamless, real‑time interactions when they explore insurance options, file claims, or manage policies. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a pivotal force behind the platforms that power these experiences. You will design, develop, and scale distributed systems that enable arenaflex’s Customer Acquisition initiatives, working closely with cross‑functional teams to replace legacy workflows with modern, resilient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect & Build Scalable Systems: Design and implement resilient, low‑latency distributed services that support high‑volume customer acquisition flows.
  • Product Definition & Technical Leadership: Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, driving product decisions from concept through delivery.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with arenaflex CRM, Infrastructure, Architecture, Release Management, Application Security, and Business Product Owners throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Design Sessions & Code Reviews: Lead architecture workshops, mentor peers, and conduct rigorous code reviews to elevate engineering quality across the organization.
  • Reusable Component Development: Create and maintain reusable libraries, patterns, and services that accelerate development and ensure consistency.
  • Tooling & Cloud Services: Leverage arenaflex tools and services for task management, source control, build pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and real‑time communication.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach junior engineers, champion best practices, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, propose enhancements, and drive adoption of modern DevOps and agile practices.

Essential Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience with at least two modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, C#) and strong object‑oriented design skills.
  • 3+ years designing and implementing architecture for new and existing systems, emphasizing reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • 3+ years hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (arenaflex, arenaflex, arenaflex) and infrastructure‑as‑code concepts.
  • Advanced understanding of DevOps principles, continuous delivery pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Proficiency in web service integration (REST/SOAP) and middleware technologies such as Apache Camel, Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced, startup‑like environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of leading projects and interacting effectively with stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, source‑control systems (arenaflex commands, arenaflex source control), and monitoring solutions.
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases (arenaflex, arenaflex) and SQL query optimization.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Familiarity with arenaflex CRM standard objects, custom object creation, validation rules, and workflow automation.
  • Experience building and configuring flows, process builders, and custom integrations within arenaflex CRM.
  • Knowledge of arenaflex Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, and Lightning Aura/LWC components.
  • Exposure to arenaflex CDP (Customer Data Platform) concepts and implementation.
  • Hands‑on experience with modern front‑end frameworks such as arenaflex and arenaflex (formerly known as Flutter and React).
  • Background in event‑driven architectures and experience with event‑based integration frameworks.
  • 2+ years contributing to open‑source projects or using open‑source frameworks in production environments.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Depth: Mastery of Java application design, implementation, and maintenance; ability to work across the full stack from UI to backend services.
  • Architectural Vision: Ability to define reusable patterns, micro‑service boundaries, and data contracts that support long‑term evolution.
  • Collaboration: Strong teamwork ethos, comfortable interfacing with product owners, security teams, and operations engineers.
  • Mentorship: Passion for coaching peers, sharing knowledge, and fostering a growth mindset.
  • Agile Mindset: Experience with Scrum or Kanban, iterative delivery, and rapid feedback loops.
  • Quality Focus: Commitment to automated testing, code quality metrics, and continuous improvement.
