Position Overview – Remote Data Entry Specialist (Customer Service Focus)

In this role, you will be the critical link between patients, pharmacists, and prescribers, ensuring that medication information, enrollment data, and prescription orders are accurately captured, processed, and communicated—all while adhering to strict HIPAA privacy standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize arenaflex’s proprietary data‑entry platforms to input patient enrollment information, prescription details, and medication refill requests with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Process inbound and outbound communications—including phone calls, secure messages, and emails—to resolve patient inquiries, verify prescription details, and coordinate with prescribers.
  • Interpret and enter clinical abbreviations (SIG codes) and ensure that all medication data complies with HIPAA regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Investigate and resolve missing or incomplete medication information by contacting patients, pharmacies, or prescribers, documenting all actions taken in the system.
  • Handle “outside oddball” cases—unusual or complex scenarios that require additional data verification, correction, and resubmission according to specific workflow guidelines.
  • Provide timely support to pharmacy teams, both in‑store and remote, escalating issues to senior staff when necessary.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of arenaflex’s policies, procedures, and technology tools, completing required certifications within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Document all interactions and data changes in the electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring traceability and audit readiness.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic computer proficiency: ability to start, shut down, and navigate a PC; use a mouse; open and close applications; save and print documents; and access the internet.
  • Fundamental web‑browser skills: entering URLs, using search engines, bookmarking pages, and navigating forward/backward controls.
  • Intermediate typing speed of at least 25 words per minute (WPM) with a focus on accuracy and the ability to type from memory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
