About the Digital Operations Chat Team at arenaflex

The Digital Operations Chat division is a dynamic and rapidly growing space within arenaflex's US Commercial-Medical organization. Our Chat team stands out as a unique and specialized group within our CSO structure because our advocates are universally trained across most US Commercial-Medical products, including:

  • Medical Products: Proclaim, Facets, and PMHS
  • Dental Products: DPPO and DHMO
  • Pharmacy Solutions: OneRx
  • iCSA Services: Website support, navigation assistance, and password resets

This cross-functional training enables our team to provide seamless, one-stop support that reduces transfers, minimizes wait times, and delivers a superior customer experience. Primary Responsibilities: Your Day-to-Day Impact

As a Customer Service Chat Senior Representative at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in helping customers and healthcare providers better understand their benefits and navigate our services. Your responsibilities will include:

Educating Customers and Healthcare Providers

  • Help customers and healthcare providers understand our business with clarity and patience. Common topics include prior authorization status, claims issues, and benefit coverage explanations related to medical and dental procedures performed in office or hospital settings.
  • Break down complex healthcare terminology and processes into accessible language that empowers customers to make informed decisions.

Delivering Multi-Tasking Excellence

  • For less complex questions and inquiries, Chat Advocates have the capability to support two customers simultaneously within our proprietary Chat platform. This requires exceptional attention to detail, strong technological savvy, and the ability to switch contexts efficiently without sacrificing quality.
  • Manage multiple chat windows with professionalism, ensuring each customer feels valued and heard.

Creating Seamless Customer Experiences

  • Make it easy for customers to work with us by delivering a seamless experience across multiple lines of business.
  • Provide robust customer support for various and sometimes complex inquiries in a one-stop approach, helping to reduce transfers and wait times.
  • Take ownership of inquiries and issues, doing your best to resolve them the first time, every time.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to first-call resolution and customer satisfaction.

Advocating for Health and Wellness

  • Advocate for our customers' health and wellness by educating them on disease management programs.
  • Make personalized recommendations on the right healthy living programs tailored to each customer's unique needs and circumstances.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for wellness information and program enrollment guidance.

Key Qualifications: What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications

  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of Call Center experience is highly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Thorough technical knowledge of medical terminology is strongly preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent customer service skills including the ability to manage complexity is a must—this includes active listening, human connection, empathy, researching, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated oral, written, interpersonal communication, and negotiation skills are preferred.
  • Organizational Excellence: Prior experience with time management, excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented approach, high motivation, and customer-centric mindset.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or benefits administration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with chat-based customer service platforms and digital communication tools.
  • Ability to type quickly and accurately while maintaining a conversational tone.
  • Comfort with learning multiple software systems and product lines.
  • A genuine passion for helping others and making healthcare more accessible.

Technical Requirements for Remote Work

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, your internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload. This ensures you can effectively support our Chat platform and deliver exceptional customer experiences without interruption.

Compensation and Benefits: Investing in Your Well-Being

For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of $17 - $25 USD per hour, depending on relevant factors including experience and geographic location. This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
