Position Overview – Remote Customer Service & Retention Sales Representative

We are seeking a dynamic, empathetic, and results‑oriented professional to join our Remote Customer Service team as a Retention Specialist. In this role you will be the frontline defender of our customer relationships, turning potential cancellations into lasting partnerships. You will handle a high volume of inbound calls from customers who are considering ending their arenaflex service, identify underlying concerns, and present tailored solutions that demonstrate the true value of our security ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and manage a steady stream of inbound calls from customers requesting service cancellations.
  • Employ active listening and probing questions to uncover the root causes of dissatisfaction.
  • Present customized retention offers—ranging from rate adjustments and billing credits to equipment upgrades and additional services—to meet each customer’s unique needs.
  • Maintain a calm, compassionate, and professional demeanor on every call, especially during escalated or emotionally charged interactions.
  • Document all interactions accurately in arenaflex’s CRM, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (billing, technical support, product specialists) to resolve complex issues quickly.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly retention targets while adhering to quality and compliance standards.
  • Continuously improve performance through coaching, self‑review, and participation in ongoing training programs.
  • Utilize a suite of more than ten software tools—including pricing calculators, account management platforms, and knowledge bases—to deliver swift, data‑driven solutions.
  • Stay current on arenaflex product offerings, policy updates, and competitive landscape to provide accurate information to customers.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a sales‑oriented call‑center environment, with a track record of meeting or exceeding retention and upsell goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high‑volume call traffic while maintaining empathy, professionalism, and accuracy.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude for quick calculations, pricing adjustments, and contract negotiations.
  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree is a plus.
  • Reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download / 15 Mbps upload) and a distraction‑free home office setup.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with a focus on active listening, clear articulation, and persuasive negotiation.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in the home‑security, smart‑home, or related technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with contract interpretation and the ability to explain terms in plain language.

Training & Onboarding

All new hires will participate in an intensive, paid, on‑site training program at our Wichita, KS campus for 8–12 weeks. The curriculum includes:

  • Deep dive into arenaflex product lines, service tiers, and security technology.
  • Hands‑on practice with our CRM, pricing tools, and escalation pathways.
  • Role‑playing scenarios that simulate high‑stress retention calls.
  • Coaching sessions focused on objection handling, negotiation tactics, and emotional intelligence.
  • Performance metrics training to ensure you understand how success is measured and rewarded.

During training you will receive daily support from dedicated onboarding specialists, ensuring you feel confident and prepared before transitioning to the remote environment.
