The Opportunity: Provider Customer Service Representative

We're seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Provider Customer Service Call and Chat Representatives. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from home while making a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery. If you're located within the Eastern, Central, or Mountain Time Zones, you'll have the opportunity to telecommute* as you tackle challenging and rewarding work that directly supports healthcare providers caring for our members.

Key Responsibilities

As a Provider Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll serve as the primary advocate for healthcare providers, ensuring they have the information and support needed to care for our members effectively. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrating accountability and ownership to resolve provider issues and concerns
  • Supporting providers through multiple communication channels, including phone calls and concurrent chat
  • Quickly and appropriately triaging contacts from healthcare professionals, including physician offices, clinics, and billing offices
  • Understanding and addressing provider needs related to benefits and eligibility, billing and payments, clinical authorizations, explanation of benefits (EOB), and behavioral health
  • Researching and resolving complex prior authorization and claim issues to prevent repeat contacts, escalations, and provider dissatisfaction
  • Collaborating effectively with internal partners to ensure timely resolution and thorough communication
  • Mastering multitasking skills to navigate more than 30 different systems to extract necessary information
  • Guiding providers to utilize self-service digital tools, highlighting how these resources can lead to faster resolution of issues

Qualifications & Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1+ year of customer service experience with a proven track record of analyzing and resolving customer concerns
  • Experience with computer applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer systems
  • Typing speed of 35-40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work any full-time (40 hours/week), 8-hour shift between 10:35 AM - 7:05 PM CST, Monday through Friday
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime, weekends, and/or holidays as business needs require
  • Reside within Eastern, Central, or Mountain Time Zone
  • Ability to maintain a dedicated, private workspace separate from living areas
  • Access to a reliable high-speed internet connection

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior healthcare experience and knowledge of healthcare terminology
  • Experience in office, call center, or customer service environments where phones and computers are primary tools
  • Familiarity with healthcare claims processing or provider services
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems

Training & Development

At arenaflex, we're committed to setting you up for success. This position includes a comprehensive 14-week paid training program conducted virtually from your home. Training hours will be 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST, Monday through Friday, during which you'll gain in-depth knowledge of:

  • Healthcare industry fundamentals and terminology
  • arenaflex products, services, and systems
  • Customer service excellence in a healthcare context
  • Technical skills required for the role
  • Specialized areas like benefits, billing, and authorizations
