The Account Manager plays a critical role in fueling growth for alcohol beverage customers by managing key accounts and driving profitable growth through strategic account plans and customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of key strategic alcohol beverage customer accounts to deliver revenue and margin targets
- Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with organizational growth priorities
- Analyze market trends and customer needs within the alcohol beverage industry to identify and prioritize new business opportunities
- Own sales P&L for assigned accounts, driving profitability and margin expansion
- Forecast sales performance and growth metrics; prepare and present account performance updates to senior management
- Build and maintain long‑term, trust‑based relationships with senior client stakeholders, including C‑suite
- Act as a trusted advisor by providing insights and recommendations that support customer brand and business objectives
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and through strategic partnerships
- Lead complex contract negotiations and long‑term supply agreements
- Ensure compliance with pricing strategies, margin targets, and legal and commercial standards
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, R&D, operations, and other teams to deliver innovative solutions and seamless customer experiencesLead client‑facing initiatives and resolve complex customer issues
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive account management experience, including managing large or complex accounts
- Proven ability to manage strategic customer relationships and drive commercial outcomes
- Advanced negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Experience using CRM tools and data‑driven decision‑making at a strategic level
- Technical or industry‑specific expertise in the beverage flavor space
- Master's degree
- Experience supporting customers in the alcohol beverage industry or adjacent CPG markets
