[Remote] Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Braided Technologies is a workflow automation platform focused on improving care for behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment providers. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack to take ownership of the full stack, working on backend services, API integrations, and client-facing product experiences while collaborating closely with product and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• You’ll design, build, and maintain integrations with the systems behavioral health operators rely on every day, including EHR platforms like KIPU, Sunwave, Alleva, Lightning Step, CRMs, billing systems, and other third-party APIs. Your work will help turn fragmented tools into connected, reliable workflows
• You’ll extend and improve Braided’s core automation platform, including event-driven workflows, data transformations, scheduling, routing logic, monitoring, and error handling. You’ll help make complex operational processes feel simple, dependable, and scalable
• As Braided expands into new product lines, you’ll help build the interfaces and tooling that support them. This may include internal tools, client portals, configuration UIs, and other product surfaces that make our platform easier to use and more powerful for customers
• You’ll help own the cloud infrastructure behind Braided, including AWS, deployments, CI/CD pipelines, observability, reliability, and security. You’ll play a key role in making sure the platform is stable, secure, and ready to scale
• You’ll help maintain and strengthen our security and compliance practices as we handle sensitive protected health information across client systems. You’ll contribute to a platform customers can trust in a high-stakes healthcare environment
• You’ll serve as a technical partner during onboarding and integration setup, helping diagnose issues, explain technical decisions clearly, and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to get customers live successfully
• You’ll contribute meaningfully to how we structure the codebase, design systems, approach scalability, and prepare the platform for its next phase of growth

Skills

• 5 to 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Frontend experience with React, Vue, Livewire, or similar tools
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS
• Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, deployment automation
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment
• Ability to speak confidently with non-technical stakeholders
• Take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks
• Strong written communication skills
• Interest in understanding workflows in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment
• Customer support mindset
• Background in iPaaS, integration platforms, or ETL pipeline design
• Prior experience as an early or founding engineer at a startup
• Experience with data warehousing and data products
