[Remote] Principal Product Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own the software products that power retail store operations. This role involves managing a mixed portfolio of in-house and third-party software, developing product strategies, and maintaining vendor relationships to ensure smooth day-to-day store execution.
Responsibilities
- Author, maintain, and evangelize the retail operations software roadmap; present it to executive leadership and operational stakeholders
- Translate store operations business processes into clear software requirements for engineering and vendor teams
- Drive configuration, enhancement, and release cycles across SAP S/4HANA Retail store-facing functions, mobile platforms, and signage systems
- Partner directly with store operations and field teams to ensure platform decisions reflect the reality of how associates work day-to-day
- Manage ongoing vendor relationships for tag/signage and mobile platform partners — aligning roadmaps, prioritizing enhancements, and escalating issues
- Navigate a hybrid portfolio of commercial platforms and internally developed software — balancing build, configure, and partner decisions
- Manage Android-based device software and in-store mobile workflows, understanding the unique challenges of in-store device management at scale
Skills
- Position is remote, but must sit in one of the following states: Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, or Wisconsin
- 5+ years of Product Management experience
- 2+ years of experience in retail specifically store operations (Receipting, Stock adjustments, Inventory, Returns, Store transfers of product, Labeling)
- Experience with mobile Android store devices
- Experience owning and building product roadmaps
