Role Overview

As an Enterprise Customer Engineer – Data Analytics & Cloud Solutions Architecture for the North America Technical Team, you will serve as a trusted advisor and subject‑matter expert on data analytics. Partnering closely with technical sales teams, you will help prospective and existing customers understand how arenaflex Cloud can solve their most demanding data challenges. You will design, prototype, and champion innovative cloud architectures, guide migrations, and remove technical roadblocks throughout the data lifecycle—from ingestion and transformation to storage, governance, and visualization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Customer Engagement: Work with sales, product, and engineering teams across North America to identify, qualify, and prioritize business opportunities that align with arenaflex Cloud’s data analytics capabilities.
  • Technical Discovery & Architecture: Conduct deep‑dive technical discovery sessions with customers, translate business requirements into robust, scalable data solutions, and produce detailed architecture diagrams and implementation roadmaps.
  • Proof‑of‑Concept Leadership: Lead proof‑of‑concept (POC) initiatives, develop prototypes, and demonstrate the value of arenaflex Cloud services such as data warehouses, data lakes, streaming pipelines, and advanced analytics tools.
  • Solution Advocacy & Messaging: Craft compelling sales messaging, whitepapers, and presentations that highlight arenaflex Cloud’s differentiators, using whiteboards, demos, and RFI/RFP responses to influence decision‑makers.
  • Collaboration with Product Management: Provide direct feedback to product teams, influence the product roadmap, and help prioritize features that accelerate customer adoption and address real‑world challenges.
  • Technical Enablement & Training: Mentor internal sales engineers, conduct workshops for customers, and develop reusable assets (templates, scripts, best‑practice guides) that accelerate future engagements.
  • Issue Resolution & Support: Troubleshoot complex technical problems related to data migrations, schema design, query performance, and governance, ensuring a seamless experience for customers throughout the engagement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 6 years of hands‑on experience designing, implementing, or supporting cloud‑native architectures in a customer‑facing or technical support role.
  • Proven ability to engage and present to both technical stakeholders and executive leadership, translating complex concepts into clear business value.
  • Solid foundation in Big Data technologies and concepts, including data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, SQL and NoSQL databases, data governance, and performance optimization for batch and streaming workloads.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technical sales, consulting, or pre‑sales engineering focused on cloud computing, data analytics, or Big Data solutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, tuning, and optimizing scalable, distributed systems—particularly around schema design, query optimization, and workload balancing.
  • Deep understanding of the cloud market, including infrastructure, storage, platform services, and the dynamics of customer buying behavior.
  • Hands‑on experience building data warehouses, data lakes, real‑time streaming pipelines, and visualization solutions on arenaflex Cloud.
  • Ability to dissect customer requirements, break them down into actionable technical components, and craft architectures that meet both short‑term and long‑term goals.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Acumen: Mastery of cloud platforms (arenaflex Cloud, AWS, Azure), data processing frameworks (Apache Beam, Spark, Flink), and storage technologies (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Snowflake, etc.).
  • Communication Excellence: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create persuasive presentations, technical documentation, and executive‑level briefings.
