Why This Role Matters

As a Remote Contact Center Chat Representative, you will be the digital front line for arenaflex members. You’ll handle inquiries across chat, messaging, email, and phone, delivering fast, accurate, and friendly resolutions on a wide range of financial topics—from debit card issues and dispute management to deposits, transfers, and fee inquiries. Your role also includes cross‑selling arenaflex products and services, and assisting members with opening and closing deposit accounts of all types. Key Responsibilities

  • Member Interaction: Efficiently answer member inquiries, solve problems, and assist with transactions through digital channels, including email, web and mobile messaging, live chat, and text.
  • Application Support: Guide members through online membership applications, ensuring they are completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Financial Consultation: Discuss members’ financial needs and provide tailored recommendations via secure remote technology platforms.
  • Product Expertise: Serve as a subject‑matter expert for all arenaflex online products and services, such as Online Banking, Bill Pay, Mobile Deposit, External Transfers, Online Account Opening, Mobile Banking, and Chat & Text Support.
  • Cross‑Selling & Upselling: Identify opportunities to introduce members to additional arenaflex products and services that meet their financial goals.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve complex issues related to debit cards, disputes, NSF fees, deposits, and transfers, escalating only when necessary.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Accurately document all member interactions in arenaflex’s CRM system, adhering to regulatory and security standards.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up‑to‑date with new arenaflex offerings, industry trends, and best practices to provide the highest level of service.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED accepted).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or member‑support role.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the requirements of a telecommuting program, including a dedicated workspace and reliable high‑speed internet.
  • Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills with a strong command of grammar and spelling.
  • Proven problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑centric mindset.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite—especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry, particularly with digital banking platforms.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and ticketing systems.
  • Demonstrated sales experience or a track record of meeting cross‑sell targets.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Basic understanding of compliance, data security, and privacy regulations relevant to financial institutions.

Work Schedule & Remote Work Details

Our Remote Contact Center Chat Representatives work a standard Monday‑Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position is fully remote after the initial 60‑day on‑site training at our corporate campus located at 2675 O’Neal Lane in Baton Rouge. To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A quiet, distraction‑free workspace.
  • A secure, high‑speed internet connection.
  • No caregiving responsibilities (adult or child) that would interfere with the full shift.
  • Compliance with arenaflex’s telecommuting security protocols.
