In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting patient medical records, assigning appropriate codes, and ensuring that claims are accurately billed and processed. The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a working knowledge of medical coding and billing systems. Responsibilities: ? Review and analyze patient medical records for accurate coding and billing ? Assign appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 and CPT code sets ? Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations ? Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve coding-related issues ? Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically ? Follow up on claims to ensure timely and accurate payment ? Respond to inquiries from insurance companies and patients regarding billing and coding issues ? Maintain patient confidentiality and data security Requirements: ? Proven experience as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist ? Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding ? Knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health records systems ? Excellent attention to detail and accuracy ? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ? Ability to work independently and meet deadlines ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills ? High-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace ?
