[Remote] DevOps engineer - Jersey City, NJ
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong experience in cloud infrastructure and CI/CD automation. The candidate will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline software delivery processes and enhance platform reliability, scalability, and security.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
- Manage and support cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security using modern observability tools
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and application reliability
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application issues
- Implement security best practices across cloud and DevOps environments
- Support production releases and participate in on-call rotations as needed
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
Skills
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
- Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools
- Experience with Linux/Unix administration
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with Git and version control systems
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or Splunk
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Knowledge of serverless technologies
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices
- Familiarity with security scanning and compliance tools
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments
