[Remote] Lead Software Engineer, ServiceNow AI (Remote)

The Lead Software Engineer, ServiceNow will lead the design, development, and evolution of enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions, focusing on AI-driven automation and integration architecture.
Responsibilities
- Own the end‑to‑end ServiceNow architecture across Now Assist capabilities related to Platform, ITSM and HRSD
- Design scalable, upgrade‑safe solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practices and enterprise standards
- Lead technical design reviews and architecture governance
- Integrate ServiceNow with large language models and third-party AI services
- Define and govern AI skill configurations, virtual agent flows
- Ensure data security, role‑based access, and compliance
- Monitor AI feature performance, fine tune agentic workflows and drive adoption metrics across business units
- Architect Agentic AI workflows to enable autonomous or semi‑autonomous task execution
- Identify opportunities where AI meaningfully reduces manual effort and improves service outcomes
- Act as a trusted advisor to Business leaders, product owners & enterprise architect
- Influence roadmap planning, platform strategy, and prioritization decisions
- Promotes a supportive and collaborative teamwork environment across diverse groups
- Evaluates interdependencies; thinks critically / systemically when solving problems
Skills
- 8+ years of overall IT experience
- 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and architecture experience
- Proven experience leading complex, enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations
- Strong understanding of service management, business workflows, and enterprise systems
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts)
- Flow Designer and advanced workflow orchestration
