[Remote] Senior IT Specialty Analyst

Sentara Health is a healthcare organization seeking a Senior IT Specialty Analyst to support and enhance clinical applications with a focus on Epic Inpatient ClinDoc. The role involves collaborating with clinical stakeholders, managing application builds and upgrades, and driving innovation through AI technologies to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day support, optimization, and enhancement of clinical applications, with a primary focus on Epic Inpatient ClinDoc
- Partner closely with clinical stakeholders to analyze workflows, implement system improvements, and ensure optimal utilization of Epic applications to support patient care and operational efficiency
- Lead and support application builds, upgrades, and system enhancements, while evaluating software releases and recommending solutions that improve clinical workflows and reduce operational inefficiencies
- Work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams to support integration efforts, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure system stability
- Conduct workflow assessments, system testing, incident and change management, and coordination of application updates and releases
- Provide on-call support and serve as a key resource for clinical application-related inquiries
- Apply advanced technical and clinical application knowledge, manage projects or project components, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Drive innovation, including the adoption of AI technologies and continuous improvement of clinical systems
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience with a degree
- 7+ years of relevant experience without a degree
- Epic Inpatient ClinDoc Certification
- Strong experience supporting Epic Inpatient ClinDoc, including build, optimization, and workflow configuration
- Experience with application support, upgrades, testing, and system enhancements in a healthcare environment
- Proven ability to perform workflow analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder collaboration
- Experience managing incident, problem, and change management processes
- Ability to support cross-functional integration efforts and provide on-call support in a production environment
- Additional Epic certifications or credentials
- Experience with AI integration, including Ambient documentation tools
- Experience with Andor or similar advanced analytics/AI platforms
