They are seeking a Database Engineer to design, optimize, and strengthen databases for mission-critical healthcare applications, collaborating with various teams to ensure database security and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Owners, Scrum teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend solutions
- Lead data modeling efforts and guide teams in database design
- Optimize performance across queries, indexing, and stored procedures
- Develop and enhance ETL and data warehouse processes
- Apply and uphold database security best practices
- Assist engineers learning to develop stored procedures
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation
- Support field teams with database‑related issues
- Contribute to business continuity planning and testing
Skills
- Experience in database design and optimization
- Ability to model data structures
- Experience with ETL and data warehouse workflows
- Knowledge of database security best practices
- Ability to maintain clear and accurate documentation
- Experience in supporting database-related issues
- Contributing to business continuity planning and testing
- 2-5 years of Microsoft SQL Server development (data modelling, T-SQL development, etc.)
- 1+ years of SQL Server AlwaysOn configuration/management
- 1-3 years of SQL Server Integration Services development
