[Remote] Retrofit Program Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. TekWissen is a global workforce management provider headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, seeking a Retrofit Program Manager. The role involves coordinating and completing projects/programs, overseeing all aspects, and managing vendor relationships to ensure project goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the coordination and completion of project/program
• Oversees all aspects of projects/program
• Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project/program
• Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project/program
• Performs a variety of tasks
• Leads and directs the work of others
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
• Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
• In this role you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the design, development, and delivery of physical distribution systems around the globe
• You are responsible for managing a technology or integration project, successfully delivering the solution to meet project goals
• You may work directly with external equipment vendors, customers, or partners, and you have a solid understanding of the design approaches and industry technologies utilized in fulfillment and distribution center designs
• To meet timelines and minimize disruption to support teams, you manage the overall schedule, proactively mitigate risks, and keep the scope of engineering deliverables under control
• Travel to site
• Will assign to home base as close as possible
• Manage vendor onsite through deployment phase
• Check on milestone completion, quality of work, etc and repeat each day
• Partner with other stakeholders onsite(RME, operations, etc) , to ensure all are coming together

Skills

• May require a bachelor's degree
• At least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Performs a variety of tasks
• Leads and directs the work of others
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
• Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
• Responsible for managing a technology or integration project, successfully delivering the solution to meet project goals
• Solid understanding of the design approaches and industry technologies utilized in fulfillment and distribution center designs
• Manage the overall schedule, proactively mitigate risks, and keep the scope of engineering deliverables under control
• Program Management skills – a lot of coordination with operations
• Technical skills with engineering experience
• Networking knowledge/testing experience
• At least 6+ years of Project/Program Experience
• Strong communication skills
• Reviewing engineering docs
• Managing temporary systems
• Engineering experience would be great (electrical/mechanical aspect)
• Experience of retrofits or live operational sites
