[Remote] Lead AI Engineer, Content Intelligence Applications

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EPAM Systems is building content intelligence applications powered by diffusion models, combining automated content generation with deep analysis at scale. As a Lead AI Engineer, you will shape agentic workflows, MCPs, and evaluation frameworks while strengthening training and deployment pipelines with Firefly.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain content intelligence applications that apply diffusion models for automated content generation and analysis
• Implement and refine harnesses and pipelines for training, evaluating, and deploying models using platforms such as Firefly
• Create intelligent agents and agentic workflows that automate and streamline content-focused tasks
• Architect and roll out MCPs to support scalable and modular content processing
• Develop and sustain evaluation frameworks to assess the performance of models and agents
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate content intelligence capabilities into broader product ecosystems
• Track the latest advances in generative AI, diffusion models, and content intelligence technologies

Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with strong Python skills and a track record of building and deploying ML models
• Hands-on experience with generative AI, especially diffusion models (such as Stable Diffusion, Denoising Diffusion Probabilistic Models)
• Solid background in content generation and analysis techniques, including NLP and computer vision
• Practical expertise with agent frameworks and building agentic workflows (such as LangChain, OpenAI Agents, custom agent architectures)
• Proven ability to create and sustain evaluation frameworks for AI models
• Experience with orchestration tools and harnesses for model training and deployment (such as Firefly, MLflow, Kubeflow)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration and clear documentation
• English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or above
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for scalable AI deployment
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
