[Remote] Management Consultant (Healthcare Strategy & Transformation) – Contract
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Simatree is seeking a Management Consultant with expertise in healthcare strategy and transformation to support a strategic initiative for a leading healthcare organization. The role involves assessing and modernizing enterprise data capabilities and governance structures while developing a practical roadmap for execution.
Responsibilities
- Assess current-state data assets, platforms, and organizational capabilities across the enterprise
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to simplify, rationalize, and modernize core data assets and environments
- Evaluate local and line-of-business-specific capabilities and develop recommendations regarding retention, consolidation, or enhancement
- Analyze domain-specific operating models, governance structures, and decision-making processes to identify improvement opportunities
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to support strategic recommendations
- Develop directional value sizing and cost-benefit assessments to inform investment planning and prioritization
- Synthesize findings into executive-ready presentations and strategic recommendations
- Create a high-level 12-month transformation roadmap, including initiative sequencing, key dependencies, resource considerations, and anticipated business outcomes
- Support stakeholder alignment and help ensure recommendations align with broader enterprise strategy
- Contribute to the development of materials supporting future business case development, funding decisions, and implementation planning
Skills
- 3–6 years of management consulting experience
- Previous experience at McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, or Boston Consulting Group (BCG) or Tier 2 consulting firm
- Experience supporting strategy, transformation, operating model, organizational design, or data-related initiatives
- Experience serving healthcare clients, including providers, payers, health systems, life sciences organizations, or healthcare services companies
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and structured-thinking capabilities
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Experience developing executive-level presentations and recommendations
- Ability to independently manage workstreams while collaborating effectively within a broader team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience supporting enterprise data strategy, data governance, analytics transformation, or technology-enabled transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with healthcare data environments, clinical operations, population health, revenue cycle, payer operations, or healthcare analytics
- Experience conducting value sizing, business case development, or investment prioritization analyses
- Exposure to operating model design and governance frameworks
