The role & the teams To meet our challenges, we are looking for our next Customer Solution Scientist, within our Health and Pharma Solutions Business Unit to reinforce our team! This position can be remotely based in Italy, Germany or Poland. Our teams We accelerate customer success by delivering expert, data‑driven pharmaceutical solutions in combining excipient science, process know‑how and deep customer insight to increase speed to market and improve formulation performance, ultimately building lasting customer partnerships that drive Roquette’s growth. Your mission? As an integral member of our EMEA Customer Engagement team, you will create value for both our customers and Roquette by offering deep technical support, training, and strong collaboration on innovative and established solutions to our customers in EMEA. This position involves rich interactions as you will work closely with the European TS&D Application Scientist, R&D, Sales, and the Marketing teams. Your experience and talents will make the difference to: Provide high-level technical expertise on pharma excipients and applications, leveraging deep product and formulation knowledge to design innovative solutions. Drive customer success through technical leadership and support, including troubleshooting, training, and hands-on guidance across formulation development and scale-up activities. Build and manage strong relationships with Roquette’s customer R&D teams in a specific territory in EMEA and select Global/Key Accounts, acting as a trusted advisor, identifying unmet needs, and translating them into value-added solutions and business opportunities. Lead and execute customer-driven application and technical projects, ensuring prioritization, structured project management, and delivery of high-quality experimental data and reports Collaborate cross-functionally (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, etc.) to align on strategy, support product launches, and deliver integrated customer solutions across regions and functions. Contribute to innovation and strategic growth, by capturing voice of customers, identifying market trends, and translating insights into new applications, concepts, and business opportunities. Enhance external visibility and thought leadership, through publications (example posters, papers, articles), presentations, and active participation in Pharma/Nutra trade fairs, as well as industry and academia networks to strengthen credibility and influence. Master or diploma in a relevant discipline, such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Life Sciences, is required. 3-5 years pharmaceutical formulation and technical service or product development experience, which should include: Hands-on experience formulating tablets, liquids, and/or capsules, including scale up. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong collaboration skills: ability to work effectively in a transversal team environment, with a high degree of autonomy whilst remaining a team player, constantly fostering collaboration. Strategic thinking and good problem-solving. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce) A willingness to travel is essential (up to 30%).
