About the Role

As a Customer Care Specialist at arenaflex, you will serve as the first point of contact for our valued customers, providing high-quality service and accurate information regarding pharmacy benefits, plan setup, and medical insurance. You will be the friendly, professional voice that helps our members understand their coverage and resolve their concerns efficiently and empathetically.

You will handle a high volume of incoming calls while maintaining a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Provide high-quality, friendly, and professional service to all callers, including representatives from pharmacies, doctor's offices, and plan members. Every interaction should reflect arenaflex's commitment to excellence.
  • Educate Customers on Pharmacy Benefits: Clearly and accurately explain pharmacy benefit information, plan setup procedures, and coverage details to ensure callers fully understand their options and entitlements.
  • Resolve Inquiries Efficiently: Adhere to your assigned schedule while maximizing phone time to ensure timely resolution of customer inquiries. Handle multiple calls effectively without sacrificing quality.
  • Document Customer Interactions: Maintain comprehensive, accurate records of all customer interactions, including inquiries, resolutions, and follow-up actions, using arenaflex's customer service software and databases.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth processing of pharmacy benefit requests and to escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Maintain Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on changes in medical insurance plans, pharmacy benefit regulations, and industry best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Problem-Solve and Resolve Conflicts: Apply strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to address customer concerns, find mutually beneficial solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Adapt and Grow: Embrace changes in the pharmacy benefit industry with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new processes, systems, and regulations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Customer Service Experience: Demonstrated experience or strong aptitude in customer service, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to provide accurate information and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Time Management: Ability to adhere to a set schedule and efficiently handle multiple calls throughout the workday.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to changes in the pharmacy benefit industry, including new regulations, plans, and best practices.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using customer service software, databases, and other relevant technology tools.
  • Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Available to work between the hours of 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM, with 9-hour shifts scheduled within this window.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish Skills: Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability is not required but is highly valued and considered a significant plus. The ability to serve Spanish-speaking customers will broaden your impact and open additional opportunities for growth.
  • Healthcare or Pharmacy Experience: Prior experience in healthcare, pharmacy, insurance, or a related field is a plus but not required. We provide comprehensive training to help you succeed.
  • Call Center Experience: Previous experience in a call center or high-volume customer service environment is beneficial.
