Position Overview
arenaflex is hiring a Part-Time Remote Chat Support Specialist to join our live engagement team. In this role, you will respond to customer questions through our proprietary chat platform, troubleshoot account and product issues, and create positive experiences for thousands of users each week. This is a fully remote, part-time position open to candidates located anywhere in the United States. Shifts are flexible and available seven days a week between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM Eastern Time, allowing you to design a schedule that fits around school, family, or other commitments.
What You'll Do Each Day
- Handle inbound live chat inquiries from customers, providing fast, friendly, and accurate responses
- Diagnose customer issues, walk users through step-by-step solutions, and confirm resolution before closing the chat
- Manage multiple chat windows simultaneously while maintaining quality, tone, and attention to detail
- Document each interaction thoroughly in our support platform so teammates and supervisors can pick up where you left off
- Escalate complex or sensitive cases to senior support agents, team leads, or specialized departments
- Stay current on product updates, brand guidelines, policies, and promotional campaigns
- Identify recurring customer pain points and share feedback with the operations and product teams
- Meet and exceed weekly performance targets for response time, customer satisfaction (CSAT), and resolution rate
- Participate in team huddles, peer coaching sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Uphold arenaflex's standards for professionalism, empathy, and brand voice in every single conversation
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- Residence: Must reside in the United States and be authorized to work as an independent contractor or employee
- Connectivity: Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps download) and a quiet, distraction-free home workspace
- Communication: Exceptional written English skills, including spelling, grammar, clarity, and tone
- Typing Skills: Minimum 45 WPM with a high accuracy rate
- Multitasking Ability: Comfortable navigating between chat windows, knowledge bases, and internal tools at the same time
- Time Management: Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to manage your own schedule and meet performance goals
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Equipment: A personal computer or laptop (Windows 10+ or macOS 11+) that meets our technical specifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Six months or more of customer service experience in chat, email, retail, hospitality, call center, or related fields
- Familiarity with live chat platforms such as Intercom, Zendesk Chat, LiveChat, or Salesforce Service Cloud
- Experience supporting e-commerce, SaaS, subscription, or digital product customers
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities (Spanish is especially valued)
- Comfort with basic troubleshooting for web applications, browsers, and account access issues
- A track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs such as CSAT, first-response time, or ticket volume
