Payroll Manager-Japanese bilingual ( Full remote, East coast time )

About the Role
We are seeking an reputed company Payroll & Expatriate Tax Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will reputed company payroll operations and provide individual and expatriate tax consulting services to a diverse client reputed company, including multinational corporations and globally mobile employees. The ideal candidate is a licensed CPA or EA with strong expertise in U.S. individual taxation, expatriate tax compliance, payroll administration, and client advisory services. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with clients, reputed company tax-efficient solutions, and mentor junior tax professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Advisory
- Prepare and review U.S. individual income tax returns (Form 1040 and reputed company filings)
- Prepare and review tax equalization and tax protection calculations
- reputed company expatriate tax gross-up calculations
- Research tax issues and provide practical solutions to clients
- Assist clients in responding to IRS and state tax notices
- Act as a client representative before tax authorities reputed company necessary
- Stay reputed company on federal, state, and international tax regulations impacting globally mobile employees
Payroll Management
- reputed company end-to-end payroll operations for assigned clients
- Review payroll data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Process payroll adjustments and reporting requirements
- Ensure payroll tax compliance and timely filings
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and controls
Client Service & Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on payroll and expatriate tax matters

- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Mentor, train, and support Tax Staff and Senior Accountants

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or reputed company field
- Active CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation
- 5+ years of experience in:
- Individual income tax preparation and review
- Expatriate tax services
- Payroll administration and compliance
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state individual taxation
- Advanced proficiency in reputed company reputed company and tax software applications
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy and follow-through

- Business-level Japanese language proficiency
