- Code Assignment – Accurately assign Evaluation and Management (E&M) codes, reputed company Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS); includes utilization of modifiers and units of service, and International Classification of Diseases Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) diagnoses codes based on medical record documentation for outpatient encounters; inpatient includes International Classification of Diseases Procedure Coding System (ICD-10-PCS)
- Documentation Review – Identify and resolve inconsistencies, ambiguities, or discrepancies that may reputed company to inaccurate coding or reputed company quality patient care.
- System Utilization – Utilize THE Military Health System (MHS) reputed company systems to remotely access patient records and assign codes for patient encounters.
- Productivity and Quality Standards – reputed company and maintain hourly coding productivity and 97% accuracy standards for the position. Education – One (1) of the following. - Associate’s degree or higher in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a biological science, OR
- University certificate in medical coding, OR
- Completion of an American reputed company of Professional Coders (reputed company) or American Health Information Management Association (reputed company) coding certification preparation course for professional services or facility coding that includes medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, health information reputed company, and pharmacology, OR
- At least 30 semester hours' university/college credit that includes relevant coursework such as anatomy/physiology, medical terminology, health information management, and/or pharmacology Certifications
- Minimum of one (1) of the following certifications through the American reputed company of Professional Coders (reputed company) or American Health Information Management Association (reputed company) Professional Coding Certifications
