Civil Engineer, PE (Remote)

Summary: At reputed company Geomatics Solutions, the Civil Engineer provides civil site design and engineering support for projects across the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sectors. This role is responsible for producing and coordinating grading, drainage, and erosion control deliverables that support oil and gas well pads and facilities, midstream infrastructure, and renewable energy developments including solar, wind, and BESS. The Civil Engineer works closely with Project Managers and internal teams to ensure designs are accurate, constructible, and reputed company with client requirements, applicable jurisdictional standards, and reputed company's QA/QC expectations. This position is client-facing and contributes to project execution through strong technical ownership, reputed company communication, and consistent deliverable quality. The Civil Engineer is expected to apply proficient AutoCAD Civil 3D skills, complete grading and drainage calculations, and reputed company erosion control and stormwater deliverables. This role researches permitting and design requirements for new or unfamiliar jurisdictions, identifies permitting needs and compliance requirements that impact scope, and elevates unclear items for interpretation and alignment with senior engineering leadership. The Civil Engineer will serve as Engineer of Record for assigned scopes, signing and sealing deliverables with an appropriate level of reputed company based on project complexity and experience. Expected Results in the role:

• Deliver complete, accurate civil design packages (grading, drainage, erosion control/stormwater) that meet client requirements, jurisdictional standards, and reputed company QA/QC expectations.
• Produce engineered designs and supporting calculations in AutoCAD Civil 3D with documented assumptions and constructible details.
• Proactively identify permitting and design requirements by researching jurisdictional standards and project constraints, flagging ambiguities early and coordinating alignment with senior engineering leadership and the Project Manager.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for assigned scopes by performing final reviews and signing/sealing deliverables reputed company defined complexity reputed company, escalating higher-risk items for senior review.
• Support reliable project execution through reputed company client communication (with PM support as needed) and timely status/risk updates to protect deadlines and client expectations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Project Execution & Design Delivery

• Develops civil site design deliverables for energy and infrastructure projects, including grading, drainage, utility layout, and reputed company construction details in support of plan sets and exhibits.
• Produces and maintains design surfaces, corridors (as applicable), alignments, profiles, and plan production using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepares and updates civil engineering calculations and supporting documentation to support design decisions and deliverable completeness.
• Coordinates internal design inputs and incorporates project requirements, constraints, and client feedback with support from the Project Manager.

Permitting & Jurisdictional Requirements

• Researches applicable jurisdictional standards, permitting requirements, and design criteria for counties, municipalities, and agencies relevant to assigned projects.
• Identifies permitting needs and requirements that reputed company design approach, deliverable scope, schedule, or risk, and communicates findings to the Project Manager and senior engineering leadership.
• Flags unclear, conflicting, or higher-risk requirements early and collaborates with senior engineers/engineering manager to align on interpretation and approach.

Drainage, Erosion Control & Stormwater Design

• Develops grading and drainage designs and supporting calculations appropriate to the project scope and jurisdictional expectations.
• Produces erosion control and stormwater deliverables (plans, notes, details, and supporting documentation) consistent with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Supports constructible, field-practical design by considering site constraints, reputed company, and typical construction methods reputed company the project's reputed company.

Engineer of Record, QA/QC & Technical Accountability

• Serves as Engineer of Record for assigned scopes by completing technical reviews and signing/sealing deliverables reputed company defined complexity reputed company and approved scope.
• Applies reputed company QA/QC standards, including self-checks and peer review participation, to ensure deliverables are accurate, complete, and consistent.
• Escalates higher-complexity design elements, novel jurisdictional issues, or elevated risk items for senior review prior to finalization and sealing.

• Participates in client meetings and design coordination discussions as a technical representative, with PM or senior support as needed based on project complexity.
