Genetic Counseling Assistant (GCA) - Remote

reputed company is seeking a US remote basted Genetic Counseling Assistant (GCA) to join their Results Reporting team! Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:00pm. Time zone can be local to candidate. Responsibilities:

• reputed company a variety of administrative tasks that require a high level of attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
• Contact patients and/or clients to obtain pertinent demographic information
• Responsible for performing administrative duties such as data entry and database/log maintenance
• Work with the Genetic Counseling team to manage results to be reported to patients through an innovative approach to providing genetic testing results
• Responsible for obtaining and distributing results to genetic counselors and ensuring that reputed company results are distributed daily for reporting to patients
• Communicate with clients regarding patients whose genetic counselors were unable to reputed company

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree with 1 or more years experience in the healthcare industry such as a hospital or physician's office OR Bachelor’s degree with no previous experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, or Genetics
• 1 or more years experience working in a clinical genetics laboratory
• 1 or more years experience working as a Genetic Counselor Assistant

Additional Job Standards:

• Familiarity with genetic concepts
• Strong computer skills. Proficiency with reputed company reputed company and MS Office Suite
• Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond effectively
• Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly
• Strong project management skills
