REMOTE - Sr. Project Manager

Location; Remote, US or Hybrid in Newport Beach, CA (2 / 3 days onsite per week) Job Description... Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to work in the Enterprise Program Office (EPO). The EPO supports the enterprise goals and initiatives of all corporate areas throughout the company. These departments include Human Resources, Finance (FP&A and Accounting), Enterprise Risk Management, Actuarial, and Investments. The Senior Project Manager manages projects / programs with varying degrees of complexity by assembling project teams, developing project schedules, critical milestones, risks, issues and dependencies and all supporting documents to ensure the project / program is delivered within scope, schedule, and cost. The Project Manager leads, facilitates, and influences project sponsors and stakeholders and the core project team members in the successful completion / implementation of projects / programs as defined by the business case. ? Work with and provides strategic and tactical plans regarding execution and standards in fulfillment of department, division, and / or enterprise needs. ? Direct and manage critical enterprise-wide projects of medium to x-large size and their respective project teams of varying sizes and backgrounds that may expand across the enterprise that may include people, process, data, and technology. ? Establish and maintain project plans, report progress as required, generate risk assessments, escalate issues, and facilitate project review presentations / meetings. ? Work with all levels of management / multiple stakeholders including C-level, operations, business analysts, change management resources and business staff on assigning tasks, establishing project / program deliverables and scheduling of those tasks and deliverables. ? Serve as a liaison across the company to prepare communication / reporting regarding program, issues, risks, and dependencies. ? Obtain approval from project sponsor(s) and / or primary stakeholder(s) and control the project / program scope, priorities, and schedule. ? Develop, foster, and manage relationships with project / program sponsor(s) for the purpose of influence in effective decision making. ? Contribute to thoughtful and creative discussions with project / program sponsor(s), department and division management on resource and scheduling, plans and challenges. ? Partner and assist management with the utilization of resources for project / program planning activities across the enterprise. ? Analyze project / program data on assigned projects for efficiency gains and make recommendations to management based on findings. Qualifications ? Experience with Finance transformation across multiple Divisions / stakeholders; Experience managing large scale financial systems implementations, specifically Oracle Cloud ERP. ? In-depth knowledge or experience within Insurance or financial services, and experience with Accounting & Reporting. ? 8 years progressive experience in project / program management. ? Demonstrated project management skills, techniques, and various methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). ? PMP and / or Scrum certification preferred. ? Highly skilled in Project Management tools, specifically Smartsheet, ADO, and MS productivity tools (MS Project, SharePoint, Teams, OneNote, PowerPoint, and Visio). ? Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, exhibit poise and exercise diplomacy in communication, ability to influence others toward consensus, conflict management and decision-making. ? Strong in critical thinking, data analysis and reporting, risk and controls, and process improvement. ? Must be a self-starter, have demonstrated experience in a lead role, be well organized, effectively managing their time and be a strong leader who can adapt rapidly to new developments and changing priorities. ? A bachelor's degree in business administration, MBA, CFA, CPA, or other relevant study, or equivalent experience. ? Most stakeholders are based in California (PST time zone), preference to have candidate located in Orange County, CA as physical presence would be very helpful in follow-ups, relationship building, and meetings.
