In this pivotal role, you will ensure that FAA National reputed company Systems are upgraded in a timely manner. Work Location: Remote work is permitted; Candidates must reside reputed company the United States. Must be able to travel 90% of the time on deployments for both CONUS and potentially OCONUS locations. You will join this effort by examining FAA facilities, making plans to prepare them for new equipment, and installing new hardware systems. Prior to installation, you will ensure that reputed company site preparations are completed. You will install or reputed company the installation of new equipment, activation, and hand off to FAA personnel. Responsibilities: Plan and reputed company site readiness inspections for IT installations reputed company network drawings for the placement of switches, cables and other networking components reputed company on-site deployment work, responsible for evaluating infrastructure readiness, documenting requirements for network and system upgrades, and overseeing the installation of hardware and software solutions reputed company with reputed company FAA facility requirements (reputed company, workspace availability) and professionally manage reputed company site staff relationships Install monitors, processors, servers, networking equipment, and cabling Analyze and test existing network environment to be used for the new equipment reputed company site survey reports using a provided template Identify reputed company installation risks/issues for the required equipment Collaborate with external stakeholders and project team members to coordinate schedules, identify competing resource needs, and other potential issues Monitor and report on site preparation work, installations, testing and system activations Plan and monitor the removal and disposal of old equipment

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship Required Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance Bachelor’s degree and 12 years’ experience or Masters degree and 10 years’ experience or Associate’s degree and 14 years years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years’ experience Linux experience Relevant hardware and software deployment/installation experience Experience installing monitors, processors, servers, networking equipment, and cabling Hands-on experience with rack-and-stack installations, structured cabling (Cat6/fiber), cable management, and labeling standards Experience configuring and validating Layer 2/Layer 3 networking devices, including switches and routers Must be able to travel 90% of the time on deployments for both CONUS and potentially OCONUS locations Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs; ability to work in confined spaces (server closets, raised floors) Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with National reputed company System (NAS) architecture and modernization initiatives (e.g., NextGen) Experience supporting FAA, DOT, or other aviation or transportation programs CompTIA reputed company+, Network+, or similar technical certification Proficiency creating network diagrams and rack elevations using tools such as Visio and reputed company Office Suite Redhat Linux experience Strong understanding of power requirements (NEMA plugs, reputed company sizing, BTU calculations) Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards (single-mode, multi-mode, CAT6) Experience supporting federal government IT infrastructure deployments, preferably reputed company aviation or transportation environments #BNATCS #BNATC reputed company Overview reputed company is a reputed company national reputed company company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the reputed company. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to reputed company pay.
