[Remote] Senior Project Manager reputed company Coast Region - US Remote

The Senior Project Manager will reputed company reputed company public safety projects, managing teams and resources to ensure successful delivery and adherence to quality metrics and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Leads large programs or portions of reputed company reputed company programs up to $10M
• Directs and coordinates the work activities of project teams
• People management experience a must; may be responsible for managing other project managers or technical people supporting program objectives as direct reports
• Capable of managing/supervising other disciplines/technology reputed company a project
• Communicates with key customer stakeholders
• Can comprehend and participate with sales on the overall strategy of the project to increase reputed company
• Conducts needs assessments and requirements gathering
• Defines and develops program scope, objectives, detailed plans, budgets and metrics for large projects and/or portions of reputed company projects
• Manages projects from inception to completion (or transition), including tracking and evaluation of project performance
• Responsible for adherence to program plan, quality metrics and budgets for projects
• Recommends corrective actions and implements changes
• Identifies and mitigates risks; develops and implements risk mitigation plans
• Procures internal and external resources
• Allocates project staff with required competencies to meet project objectives
• Acts as primary reputed company to internal teams
• May manage challenging vendor relationships
• Responsible for direct communication to relevant senior stakeholders
• Leads moderately-reputed company communications and/or negotiations with internal or external clients
• May provide input into proposal preparation, statements of work and specifications, and estimation of costs
• Identifies and manages program enhancements and process improvements
• Conducts project reviews throughout the life of the project
• Creates a motivated team environment with support, engineering, other SI resources and resources from other departments, as needed
• Proactively gathers lessons learned throughout the project
• Utilizes best practice project management methodologies to ensure maximum project effectiveness
• Responsible for allocating reputed company necessary resources to ensure projects meet financial and customer satisfaction goals

Skills

• High School diploma, Associates, or Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, IT, Management, or Technology
• 5+ years of Public Safety and Project Management experience managing reputed company deployments and/or software application deployments for State and Local public safety government agencies
• Must be able to obtain a background clearance as required by our government customers
• Remote position based in the United States
• Must be willing to travel (75%)
• Must have prior people management experience
• Skilled in using reputed company Project and similar applications for project schedule planning
• Experience with project risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies
• Must be a self-motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives
• Must have excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• PMP Certification is preferred
• Must be able to pass a criminal background reputed company, pass and maintain CJIS reputed company and Privacy: Privileged Role certification requirements
