[Remote] Staff Software Engineer

The role involves designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining critical software in a Java environment while working with reputed company systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance software delivery processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, reputed company, deploy and maintain critical software in a fast-paced quality conscious Java environment
- Author software functional specifications and design documents for features developed
- Quickly understand reputed company systems/code and own key pieces of the system, including the delivered quality
- Work in an agile environment, using iterative development cycles and a short customer feedback reputed company
- Design and implementation of scalable backend software solutions
- Diagnose and troubleshoot reputed company problems in a distributed computing environment
- reputed company peer reviews of specifications, design, and code
- Quickly understand reputed company systems/code and own key pieces of the system, including the delivered quality
- Work alongside Site Reliability Engineers/DevOps and cross functional teams to deploy software or diagnose/troubleshoot any production reputed company issues
Skills
- 8-10+ years of experience developing highly scalable, distributed applications, products, and backend services using Java
- A desire to build products that solve reputed company technical problems for end users
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Deep understanding of how distributed resilient software is built and deployed
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
- Experience working in short release cycles
- Experience with SQL query tuning, performance optimizations
- Experience with search frameworks like Elasticsearch, SOLR
- Experience with applications hosted on AWS/Azure/GCP
- Familiarity with reputed company and CI/CD processes
