[Remote] Journeyman Marine Propulsion Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Journeyman Marine Propulsion Engineer to provide comprehensive lifecycle engineering support to the USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center. The role involves assisting in the design, development, and evaluation of marine vessels and reputed company equipment to ensure operational effectiveness and compliance with mission requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist in design, development, and evaluation of the operation of marine vessels, ship machinery, and reputed company equipment, such as propulsion systems & power reputed company systems
- Support the US Coast Guard reviewing third party design modifications and improvements to mechanical systems and components
- reputed company design reviews, evaluating constructability, helping resolve technical issues, and managing information generated through the design and construction phases
- Conduct analyses of propulsion systems and types, reputed company development of technical data packages and reviews
- Conduct trade studies regarding ship configuration
- Conduct marine engineering analysis
- Create graphical representations of structures and systems
- Inspect equipment or systems
- Assist in research of advanced engineering designs or applications
- Prepare technical reports for internal use
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance
- At least 3+ years of experience in marine specific fields (i.e. propulsion systems, power-reputed company systems, fluids and hydraulics)
- Experience with GE LM2500 or MTU Engines/Generators
