Summary: The Assistant Commissioning Manager supports the planning, execution, and reputed company of testing and commissioning activities for SOLV Energys High Voltage (HV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Photovoltaic (PV) projects. In this role, you will work closely with the Commissioning Manager and technical subject matter experts to ensure reputed company systems and components are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices. The Assistant Commissioning Manager helps manage project level commissioning teams and coordinates with cross functional stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition from commissioning through project closeout. This position plays a key role in delivering high quality, reliable, and fully operable renewable energy assets. This role is remote with heavy travel to jobsites and on site reputed company throughout the testing and commissioning process required. Report daily to the Commissioning Manager, the status of each project assigned. Review technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements reputed company to commissioning and assist with the development of a project milestone and deliverables list, project specific commissioning plan, and commissioning procedures. Communicate with the OEM suppliers regarding equipment specific testing and commissioning activities. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge and commissioning of Utility scale solar, battery storage, and high voltage substations. Knowledge and experience with HV and MV switching operations, and equipment grounding. Knowledge and experience with the management and application of site lock-out / tag-out (LOTO) safety program procedures. Knowledge and experience with substation protection and control (P&C) systems. Knowledge of Fiber installation and test requirements. SCADA system understanding, testing, and commissioning requirements. DC systems architecture and testing requirements. Knowledgeable in National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code (NFPA/NEC) standards, and IEEE/IES/API Standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with relevant industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions Occasional exposure to weather, harsh outdoor environment, and variable site conditions. Requires frequent stooping/bending/crouching, reaching, handling, finger dexterity, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting 50 or more lbs. Constant finger dexterity and ability to see details at reputed company range and at a distance, hear, and talk, and possess depth perception. Occasional climbing and carrying, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working in high, exposed, or difficult to access places. The noise intensity level may be high. Compensation
