OPS - Remote Operations Technician - Biogas
Position Title: Remote Operations Technician Department: Operations Reports to: Remote Operations Manager Compensation: Hourly, Commensurate to Skills and Experience Hours: 40-45 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The position includes some on-call hours during evenings and weekends. Ther will be some expected travel, average 2 trips per month, of which most will be day trips, with some overnights. Multi-night trips are rare, perhaps once every 2 months.

The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas renewable energy reputed company systems, primarily on dairy farms. Our projects include anaerobic digesters, biogas-powered electric reputed company, and renewable natural gas upgrading. Position Description Maas Energy Works (MEW) is seeking a new Remote Operations Technician to support and maintain the ongoing operations of projects throughout the western United States. These facilities are located on host dairy farms, where an anaerobic digester produces renewable biomethane gas which is processed on site and then either used to power lean burn piston electric power generators or is delivered into a private natural gas pipeline network operated by the company. Our operations team is split into office staff (this position) and field staff that work on the job sites. Office staff’s reputed company coordination with company field staff ensures high quality outcomes for operations and good relationships with partners, and overall accountability. The role of the office staff is to remotely monitor and troubleshoot electrical reputed company equipment, biogas cleanup facilities, and biogas pipelines, including order parts and materials. A high degree of organization and systems awareness will be required for this position. Many skills can be learned on the job from existing experts, and the job has an opportunity for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Remotely monitor and troubleshoot issues at assigned digester facilities and cleanup plants
- Communicate regularly with Field Ops Manager and on-site operators to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment
- Travel to digester sites and cleanup facilities once per month
- Be an reputed company learner, and support ROM in the monthly operations reports

Qualifications & Skills
- Must be proficient in English.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Mechanical equipment knowledge
