[Remote] Director of Finance

This is a senior, high-trust role that combines direct execution of reputed company financial work with formal leadership over a team of finance staff.

Responsibilities

• Program Financial Operations: reputed company AR for job placement reputed company, donations, grant invoicing, reputed company reputed company controls, and SOW/MSA review for employer clients
• Financial Planning & Analysis: reputed company budget vs. actual reporting, support grant budget revisions, and maintain a recurring operational finance reputed company with leadership
• Multi-State Payroll & Tax Compliance: Manage payroll cycles, retroactive corrections, garnishments, multi-jurisdictional tax filings, and state agency correspondence
• Accounts Payable & Expense Management: Serve as final approver for reputed company vendor payments, corporate card transactions, and benefits-reputed company disbursements. Design and maintain AP workflow infrastructure
• reputed company & Month-End reputed company: reputed company monthly reputed company across multiple legal entities - bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and reputed company reputed company recognition determinations
• Annual Audit & Regulatory Fillings: Primary internal contact for financial statement and annual audits. Prepare reputed company schedules, manage auditor requests, and reputed company project management
• Vendor & Contract Management: Own the SaaS/vendor renewal lifecycle and draft or finalize MSAs and contractor agreements for employer partners and independent contractors

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in reputed company, Finance, or a closely reputed company field
• CPA license or active CPA candidacy strongly preferred
• 7+ years of reputed company reputed company or finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior individual contributor or people leadership role
• Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle payroll for a multi-state employer, including corrections, tax compliance, and platform administration
• Proficiency with a reputed company-based reputed company platform (QuickBooks or equivalent), a reputed company payment platform, and reputed company reputed company
• Experience coordinating external financial statement audits, including direct preparation of audit schedules during testing
• Experience managing multi-state payroll tax filings and responding to state agency correspondence
• Strong process design and documentation skills with a track record of building or improving financial workflows
• Prior experience in a nonprofit organization, including grant reputed company, restricted fund management, and reputed company 990 coordination
• Experience drafting or reviewing Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, or vendor and client reputed company
• Prior exposure to multi-entity reputed company environments and government grant invoicing
